The Jackery HomePower 2000 Plus v2 Red Cross Edition is a 2,048Wh home backup power station rated for 2,400W of continuous AC output, sold in co-branded form under Jackery's partnership with the American Red Cross. It is the same machine as the standard HomePower 2000 Plus v2, built on LFP (LiFePO4) cells rated for more than 6,000 charge cycles, which Jackery projects as up to 16 years of service at one cycle per day. Jackery states that 10% of profits from this series are used to donate portable power stations to rescue organizations.

The port layout is built around running a household's essential circuits and the devices that go with them. AC output is split across two independently switched banks, labelled AC1 and AC2, so one group can be shut down without killing the other. Alongside them sit two USB-C ports, one at 140W with AVS support and one at 30W, an 18W USB-A port, and a 12V DC outlet. Two DC8020 input ports handle solar, each accepting panel voltages up to 60V.

Smart Energy Management is what separates it from a plain battery box. Jackery Priority Routing lets you set a battery threshold below which non-essential loads are shed automatically, so the remaining charge goes to the refrigerator and the lights rather than whatever happened to be plugged in. Storm Alert Mode, which requires AC power and an internet connection, brings the battery up to full ahead of forecast severe weather. Quiet Mode holds the unit to roughly 30dB measured at one metre, and Jackery has cut 34% of the weight out of this generation compared with its predecessor, which makes it realistic to move between rooms or into a vehicle.

Storage expands as needs grow. Up to five Battery Pack 2000 Plus v2 expansion batteries bring total capacity to 12kWh. Note that the original Battery Pack 2000 Plus from the previous generation is not compatible with this unit, so the v2 pack is the one to order.

What's in the Box

  • 1 x HomePower 2000 Plus v2 Red Cross Edition
  • 1 x AC charging cable
  • 1 x user manual

What makes this the red cross edition?
It is the co-branded version of the homepower 2000 plus v2 sold under jackery's partnership with the american red cross. jackery does not publish any hardware or specification difference from the standard model; capacity, output, ports and expansion figures are the same. jackery states that 10% of profits from this series are used to donate portable power stations to rescue organizations.
How much can it run at once?
Up to 2,400w of continuous ac load, split across two switchable output banks. that covers typical household essentials such as a refrigerator, lighting, networking gear and small appliances, as long as their combined draw stays inside the rating.
What is jackery priority routing?
It is a load management feature that lets you nominate which circuits matter. once the battery falls below a threshold you set, the unit automatically sheds the non-essential loads so the remaining charge goes to the devices you flagged as critical.
Can i use my old battery pack 2000 plus with it?
No. this unit supports the battery pack 2000 plus v2 only; the original battery pack 2000 plus from the previous generation is not compatible. with five v2 packs, total storage reaches 12kwh.
Can it be used indoors?
Yes. there is no fuel and no exhaust, and quiet mode holds it to around 30db at one metre, so it is intended to sit inside the home. jackery does not recommend its power stations for medical, life-support or critical-infrastructure use.
How do i charge it from solar?
It has two dc8020 input ports, each accepting panel voltages up to 60v, so compatible jackery solar panels connect directly. it can also be recharged from a wall outlet using the supplied ac cable.
