The Scott Aerator Jet Stream Fountain for medium residential ponds concentrates its whole output into one tight vertical column rather than spreading it into a cone. It is offered in three motor sizes, and the height of that column scales with the motor: the ¾ hp reaches 25 feet, the 1 hp reaches 30 feet, and the 1½ hp reaches 50 feet. That range covers mid-sized residential ponds where a single dramatic plume is the goal.

All three motors are stainless-steel submersible units that run oil-free, which removes oil changes from the ownership picture and eliminates the need for a control box on shore. Each spins at 3,450 rpm on single-phase 60 Hz power. Flow climbs with the motor as well, from 65 gallons per minute on the ¾ hp to 75 on the 1 hp and 90 on the 1½ hp. Three-phase and 50 Hz builds are available, and the fountains are approved for salt water as well as fresh.

The vertical jet also moves and oxygenates the pond. Water drawn from below is lifted and returned at the surface, which keeps the body circulating, supports the breakdown of organic material, and leaves the surface too disturbed for comfortable mosquito breeding. The units are designed to run 24 hours a day and need no routine maintenance. Scott Aerator builds them in Holland, Michigan.

Motor choices are ¾ hp and 1 hp in either 115 or 230 volts, and 1½ hp in 230 volts only. A 115-volt motor should be installed within 100 feet of the main breaker; beyond that, 230 volts is the better selection. Included cord length and gauge vary by model, and longer cords of 100, 150, 200 or 250 feet can be specified. Optional LED light sets, in color-changing or Night Glo styles and in two- or four-light sets, can be added at purchase or fitted afterward. A GFCI is required, and power should be disconnected whenever swimmers are in the water.

Choosing a Motor Size

  • ¾ hp: 25 ft jet, 65 GPM, 36 in minimum depth, two 20-lb anchor weights, 70 ft cord
  • 1 hp: 30 ft jet, 75 GPM, 44 in minimum depth, two 35-lb anchor weights, 100 ft cord
  • 1½ hp: 50 ft jet, 90 GPM, 50 in minimum depth, two 45-lb anchor weights, 100 ft cord, 230 V only
  • Not included on any model: anchor weights or concrete blocks, two nylon anchor ropes, and LED light sets
  • Deeper water is required as the motor size increases, so confirm pond depth before selecting a model

Scott Aerator covers this unit with a five-year warranty against motor failure and a one-year warranty against factory defects on all other components, extended to the original owner from the date of purchase.

Warranty service is handled at the factory. A unit needing inspection must be sent in with shipping prepaid by the owner; once the fault is confirmed, replaced parts are returned with shipping prepaid. Contact Adventure Motion support with your order number before sending anything in and we will start the claim.

Damage from improper wiring, running the unit without a GFCI, operating it outside its rated voltage, freezing in a dry unit, or physical impact is not covered.

Which motor size fits the pond?
Depth is the limiting factor first: the ¾ hp needs 36 inches of water, the 1 hp needs 44 inches, and the 1½ hp needs 50 inches. within what the depth allows, the larger motor produces a taller jet and more flow.
Is a control box required?
No. the oil-free submersible motor operates without one, but the circuit must be gfci protected.
When is the 230-volt motor the right call?
When the fountain will be more than 100 feet from the main breaker. the 1½ hp is only built as a 230-volt unit.
What anchoring hardware has to be purchased separately?
Two nylon ropes on every model, plus two weights or concrete blocks sized to the motor: 20 pounds each for the ¾ hp, 35 pounds for the 1 hp, and 45 pounds for the 1½ hp.
How long is the included power cord?
The ¾ hp ships with 70 feet and the 1 hp and 1½ hp ship with 100 feet. longer cords of 100, 150, 200 or 250 feet can be ordered instead.
Can the fountain run continuously?
Yes. these units are designed for 24-hour-per-day operation and require no routine maintenance.
