The Eunorau META20 1.0 is the 20-inch-wheel member of the META family, built for shorter riders and for anyone who prefers a low, planted bike for city use. Eunorau recommends it for riders from 5'1" to 6'1", and the Eunorau C7 saddle drops to 29.9" off the ground at its lowest setting, which is the lowest in this range of bikes. The frame is 6061 aluminum, the bike weighs 63.4 lbs, and total payload capacity is 286 lbs.

Assist comes from a 48V 500W rear hub motor rated at a maximum 55 N.m of torque, with maximum speed listed at 20 MPH. A torque sensor reads how hard the rider is pedaling and scales assist to match, which makes power delivery progressive rather than abrupt off the line, and a thumb throttle is available when the rider would rather not pedal at all. The battery is a 48V 15Ah pack on Samsung cells, and the bike is designed to take a second 15Ah or 17Ah pack; with the standard pack plus a 17Ah second battery, Eunorau rates range at 100 miles. A 48V 20A controller and a 2.0A smart charger are included, with a charge taking 5 to 7 hours.

The front end runs a suspension fork, and KENDA 20" x 3.0" tires on 20-inch alloy rims keep the ride settled over curb cuts, cracked asphalt and hard-packed dirt without feeling sluggish. Gearing is a Shimano ASLM3157RC 7-speed with a 48T chainring and 170mm forged aluminum cranks, geared a little taller than the 24-inch model to make up for the smaller wheel. Braking is hydraulic with 180mm rotors front and rear, on levers that cut motor power when pulled. The saddle adjusts from 29.9" to 37.0", the stem is adjustable for reach, and fenders, a bell, LED lights front and rear, and a tool kit are included. The BC182 LCD display connects over Bluetooth to the EUNORAU GO app for ride data and updates.

Eunorau does not publish a Class 1, 2 or 3 rating for the META20 1.0. Rules on where electric bicycles may be ridden are set at the state and local level rather than nationally, so confirm the regulations in your area and the posted rules of the specific paths and trails you plan to ride.

How powerful is the motor, and how fast does it go?
The meta20 1.0 uses a 48v 500w rear hub motor rated at a maximum of 55 n.m of torque, with a listed top speed of 20 mph. a torque sensor matches assist to your pedaling effort, so power comes on in proportion to how hard you push rather than all at once. a thumb throttle is also fitted for power without pedaling.
What class of e-bike is it, and do i need a license?
The specifications list a 500w motor and a 20 mph maximum speed, but the product content does not assign this model a class rating. e-bike rules, including where you may ride and whether helmets or a minimum age apply, are set state by state and sometimes city by city. confirm what applies in your area before riding on public roads, bike paths or trails. adventure motion cannot advise on local law.
How far can it travel, and can i add a second battery?
