Product Description

The 48v 1000w mini bike is the full-size step in MotoTec's electric mini bike line, built for teens and adults rather than first-time riders. A 1000-watt brushless permanent magnet motor doubles the top speed to 20 mph, and the bike is scaled to match: a 42-inch wheelbase, a 26-inch seat height and 145/70-6 knobby tires at both ends give it the stance of a small motorcycle rather than a toy.

Four 12v/12ah sealed lead acid batteries make up the 48v pack, and the bike starts with a key rather than a switch. A twist throttle handles power, a rear disc brake handles stopping, and LED lighting front and rear means the bike stays visible at a campsite or in low light. Drive is by chain, so gearing stays simple and serviceable.

The frame is rigid steel with no suspension, which keeps the machine tough and the maintenance list short, and 6 inches of ground clearance lets it clear trail debris that would hang up a smaller bike. It weighs 99 lbs and carries riders up to 185 lbs.
