The 72v 5000w Pro is the long-range machine in MotoTec's Pro line. A 5000 watt brushless motor on a 72 volt system takes it to 44 mph, but the standout number is the 72 volt 30 amp-hour lithium battery, which is rated for roughly 40 miles at cruising speed on a hard surface. That turns the bike from a lap-the-yard toy into something that can be ridden for an afternoon on a trail network.

Tuning is handled two ways. A three-speed adjustment sits on the throttle for quick changes, and the controller itself can be reconfigured over Bluetooth to change top speed, starting power and throttle response. Setting the bike up through a phone rather than a dashboard knob means the changes are precise and repeatable, which matters if the same machine is shared between riders of different experience levels.

Hardware is heavier-duty throughout. Hydraulic disc brakes work at both ends, the front runs two hydraulic shocks with 170 mm of travel over a 70/100-17 knobby tire, and the rear shock is damped with 52.5 to 57.5 mm of travel behind an 80/100-14. The final drive uses a 14T/48T gear set on a 53-link 428 chain, and the steel frame and rims carry a rider up to 210 lbs. The bike measures 69 x 31 x 43 inches on a 46.85 inch wheelbase with a 32 inch seat and 13 inches of clearance, weighs 182 lbs, and recharges in 4 to 6 hours from the included 84V/5A charger.
