Product Description

The MotoTec FatBoy, also sold as the Fat Tire or Big Wheel, is a budget-minded seated scooter aimed at short daily trips rather than performance riding. Its defining feature is the pair of 15-inch air-filled wheels, which roll over cracks, curb lips and packed dirt far more comfortably than the small wheels found on folding commuter scooters.

An upgraded 800 watt rear hub motor runs off four 12v 12ah batteries wired for 48 volts, good for about 22 mph and somewhere between 5 and 15 miles per charge depending on rider weight. The pack recharges in four to eight hours and is rated for over 250 charge cycles, with a charger supplied.

Ergonomics favor comfort: a wide saddle sits 32 inches off the ground, handlebars are 30 inches across at a 41-inch height for relaxed steering, and brakes are fitted front and rear. A large headlight handles low light, and the scooter will pull grades of up to 10 degrees. Overall it measures 54 x 11 x 41 inches with 3 inches of ground clearance.

Normal wear items such as tires, tubes, brake pads, chains and batteries are not covered, and neither is damage from racing, jumping, collisions, improper assembly, modification, or riding beyond the rated limits.
