MotoTec/UberScoot 1600w Electric Scooter - Recreational Off-Road Use Only

The MotoTec Powerboard line, sold previously as UberScoot and Evo Powerboards from Puzey Design, was built to separate itself from the disposable end of the scooter market, and the 1600w is the strongest machine in that family. A 1600 watt brushless motor runs off four 12v 12ah sealed lead-acid batteries wired to 48 volts and drives the rear wheel by chain, producing a 30 mph top speed and enough torque to pull steep grades under a heavy rider.

Chassis engineering is the selling point. The front end uses a genuine Cam-Link suspension system rather than a token spring, so it stays composed over rough ground and absorbs landings instead of bottoming out. The frame is reinforced steel with quality welds, the rims are forged aluminum, and 11 inch pneumatic knobby tires at both ends handle pavement and dirt equally. Disc brakes front and rear are operated by aluminum levers.

Day-to-day usability is handled by the folding system and the cockpit. Posi Lock folding collapses the scooter down to 46 x 25 x 21 inches with a positive, rattle-free latch, the seat pops off with a quick release, and MX-style handlebars adjust for both height and position. Key ignition arms the scooter, lights are fitted front and rear, and an economy mode button softens acceleration and caps top speed to stretch the batteries on longer rides. The scooter carries riders up to 265 pounds.
