MotoTec Venom 72v 12000w Electric Dirt Bike - Recreational Off-Road Use Only

The MotoTec Venom is the result of a two-year development program and sits at the top of the brand's electric dirt bike range. A 72 volt DC permanent magnet motor rated at 3000 watts continuous and 12,000 watts peak produces 65N of peak torque, enough for a 77 mph top speed and a 0 to 62 mph run in five seconds. Depending on how it is ridden, a charge covers four to five hours of trail riding or about thirty minutes of flat-out racing.

Unlike most electric machines, the Venom is shifted like a combustion bike. A four-speed manual gearbox with a clutch and foot shifter gives the rider four forward ratios plus reverse, so gearing can be matched to the terrain rather than relying on a single fixed ratio. The 72 volt 50 amp-hour lithium-ion pack uses CATL cells, releases quickly for charging off the bike, and refills in around three hours on the 15 amp charger. Peak battery voltage reaches 84 volts with 150 amps continuous and 300 amps peak output.

The chassis is built from forged 6061 aluminum alloy over a Q345B steel structure, with an aluminum rear fork, 7075 aluminum steering and aluminum handlebar and clutch levers. MNT single-cavity double-adjustable shocks handle damping at both ends, hydraulic disc brakes run copper-base pads, and 7116 alloy rims with cast hubs carry an 80/100-21 front and 110/90-18 rear. LED lighting and an LCD instrument panel come as standard. At 84 x 33 x 48 inches with a 56 inch wheelbase, a 35.4 inch seat, 12.5 inches of clearance and a 330 lb rider capacity, this is a full-size adult machine.
