This 350W wind turbine adds a renewable charging source that keeps working when solar does not. Rated at 350W in a 27 mph wind and able to survive gusts to 110 mph, it feeds Powerhouse and MyGrid systems overnight and through overcast stretches, which is exactly when a solar-only setup stalls.

The turbine body is powder-coated cast aluminum with fiberglass nylon composite blades, and the kit includes the controller box, 100 ft of 12 AWG copper cable, the hub and nose cone, three blades, and the hardware needed for assembly. Protection against over-voltage, over-current and reverse charging is built in, along with a resettable fuse.

It mounts on nominal 1.5 in schedule 40 steel pipe or tower with an outside diameter of roughly 1.875 to 1.9 in. The pole is not included, and the tower must handle about 160 lbs of horizontal load. Siting it 20 to 30 ft above nearby obstructions makes a real difference in output.
