Eunorau ONE-TRIKE 2.0

The Eunorau ONE-TRIKE 2.0 is a folding electric trike for riders who would rather not balance a bicycle. Three wheels mean it holds itself upright at a stop and at low speed, so there is no putting a foot down and no tipping point to manage while loading or climbing aboard. What separates it from a basic trike is a rear differential, which lets the two rear wheels turn at different speeds through a bend instead of fighting each other; that is what cuts the skipping and hopping a solid rear axle produces in turns. The saddle is padded with a backrest whose height adjusts, seat-to-ground height runs from 32.3" to 38.6", and Eunorau recommends riders between 5'2" and 6'1". Total payload capacity is 440 lbs covering rider and cargo, and the trike weighs 85.98 lbs, so lifting it into a vehicle is realistically a two-person job.

Drive is a 48V 500W rear-drive motor rated at 80 N.m of torque, paired with a 48V 20A controller, and top speed is listed at 20 mph with the speed limiter engaged. The drivetrain is deliberately simple: single speed, a 38T chainring on 165mm forged alloy cranks turning an 18T freewheel, so there is no shifting to think about. Motor power arrives either through five levels of pedal assist or on demand from the half-twist throttle. The battery is a 48V 14.5Ah pack with a published range of 50 miles, charged from the included US-standard 2.0A smart charger, and a switch on the battery itself shuts off power flow when the trike is parked, which helps hold charge and spares the pack over long storage. Actual distance per charge depends on rider weight, cargo, terrain, assist level and throttle use.

Handling asks for the same adjustment any trike does: because it will not lean into a turn, corners are taken slower and wider than on a bicycle, and more so with weight in the back. The rear differential makes that easier, but it does not make the trike behave like a two-wheeler. Braking is hydraulic on Eunorau 180mm discs, with levers that include a motor cutoff switch. It rolls on 20" x 2.6" tires with a Eunorau suspension fork offering 40mm of travel up front, which is enough for pavement, bike paths and hard-packed gravel rather than technical trail. The 6061 aluminum frame folds and the stem folds at a 31.8mm clamp, so it can be packed into a trunk or a tight storage space. Cargo is carried on a rear rack; Eunorau does not publish a separate load rating for the rack, so the 440 lb total payload figure is the number to work to. The build also includes full rear fenders, a LED headlight, an integrated brake taillight, aluminum pedals, an adjustable stem, reflectors and a YL-81F display, with a tool kit in the box.

Where this trike stands legally is decided locally, not by the spec sheet. The 20 mph top speed is a limiter setting rather than a fixed mechanical ceiling, and electric trike classification in the United States varies from state to state and often from city to city. Depending on jurisdiction the same machine may be treated as an electric bicycle, as a moped, or as a motor vehicle requiring registration, and individual bike paths, parks and trail networks apply their own rules regardless of how the state classifies it.
