Passenger Bars are one of two rear-passenger seats Himiway offers, the other being the Captain's Chair. They cover different riders: the Passenger Bars are the open, higher-capacity option, rated to 143.3 lb (65 kg) and built around armrests at the front and rear rather than an enclosed child seat with a harness. The Captain's Chair is the child-specific alternative, with side rails and a two-point harness and a lower limit. Pick the Bars for an older child, a teenager or an adult passenger; pick the Chair for a young child. Himiway lists the Bars for the D5 2.0, D5 2.0 ST, D5 2.0 20", A7 and D7, and in every case the bike must already have a rear rack fitted — the seat mounts to the rack, not the frame.

The frame is 6061 aluminium and the cushion is vacuum-moulded leather at 8 cm thick, which is substantial enough to matter over a long ride rather than being token padding. Front and rear armrests give the passenger something to hold and something to brace against, and footrests on both sides keep their legs clear of the wheel instead of dangling. The complete set weighs 2.7 lb (1.2 kg) and measures 19.0 by 9.6 by 7.5 inches. If you want the padding without the metal structure, the rear cushion can be installed on its own without the armrest.

On safety: a passenger should always wear a helmet, and a child passenger should be supervised at all times — mounting, dismounting and riding. Make sure every screw is fully tightened before the first ride and check them periodically afterwards, since a rack-mounted seat carries a live load and works loose faster than static hardware. Do not exceed the 143.3 lb rating, and account for the passenger's weight in how you brake and corner.

Himiway does not publish a separate warranty term for replacement parts bought on their own, so contact Adventure Motion support with your order number and photos if something arrives faulty or fails early, and we will confirm coverage and handle the claim.

Wear items such as tires, inner tubes, brake pads and brake rotors are consumables and are not covered beyond transit damage. Damage from crashes, incorrect fitting, modification or use outside the part's rated limits is also excluded.
