The Renogy 100W 12V Solar Panel Kit is an entry-level solar setup for anyone starting out with solar power in a camper or another mobile or off-grid setup. It pairs a 100W N-Type solar panel with a Wanderer Li 30A PWM charge controller, cables, and mounting brackets, giving you the core pieces needed to build a new system around a 12V battery.

The panel uses 16-busbar N-Type cells with up to 25% cell efficiency, which Renogy rates at about 14% more power than standard PERC panels. In roughly five hours of direct sun it can produce up to 500Wh per day. The extra busbars lower internal resistance and help resist microcracks, supporting consistent performance over time in mobile or off-grid use.

The Wanderer Li 30A controller charges sealed, gel, flooded, and lithium batteries with a 4-stage routine (bulk, boost, float, and equalization) and protects against reverse polarity, overcharging, overloads, and short circuits. Pre-drilled holes on the panel frame and the included Z-brackets make mounting straightforward, and the controller has capacity to grow the array to 400W by adding more of the same panels.

What else do i need to complete the system?
The kit covers the panel, charge controller, adaptor cables, tray cable, and mounting brackets. you will still need a 12v battery to store the energy, and an inverter if you want to run ac appliances.
How much energy can the kit produce?
Up to about 500wh per day with around 5 hours of direct sunlight, depending on conditions.
Can i add more panels later?
Yes. the wanderer li 30a controller supports up to 400w at 12v, so you can add more of the same 100w panels to expand the system, keeping the array within the controller's 25vdc maximum pv input voltage.
Which battery types can the controller charge?
Sealed, gel, flooded, and lithium batteries.
What is the difference between off-grid and on-grid?
On-grid systems connect to the utility grid, while off-grid systems store the solar energy they produce in batteries for later use and aren't affected by grid outages.
Why might my panel produce less than 100w?
Indirect sunlight, high temperatures, clouds, and dirt or stains on the panel surface all reduce output.
