The Renogy 100W Lightweight Flexible Solar Panel is a thin, bendable monocrystalline module made for places where a rigid glass-framed panel simply will not fit, such as curved RV roofs, boat decks, van tops, and trailer shells. At roughly 0.08 inches thick and about 5.3 pounds, it adds very little weight to a vehicle and can conform to surfaces with up to 240 degrees of flex.

Inside, 36 monocrystalline cells with a 9-busbar layout deliver 100 watts at standard test conditions, with an optimum operating voltage around 20.7V that pairs well with 12V battery systems through a charge controller. An IP67 junction box and IP67 solar connectors keep the electrical connections sealed against rain, spray, and dust, so the panel can stay mounted outdoors through changing weather.

Installation is straightforward for DIY builds, and the panel can be combined with additional modules in series or parallel as your off-grid system grows. Renogy backs it with both a product warranty and a power output warranty.

What else do i need to build an off-grid system with this panel?
The panel needs to be connected to a charge controller, which regulates the current, and to a battery that stores the power it produces.
Why might the panel produce less than 100w?
The rating is measured under standard test conditions. indirect sunlight, high temperatures, cloud cover, and dirt or residue on the surface all lower real-world output.
Should i wire multiple panels in series or parallel?
Series wiring adds the panels' voltages together while current stays the same as a single panel; parallel wiring adds the currents while voltage stays the same. choose based on your charge controller's input limits.
Can i walk on a flexible solar panel?
It is not recommended. standing on the panel concentrates pressure on a small area and can crack or damage the cells.
How do i clean the panel?
Use water and a non-abrasive sponge, and wipe away dust, sand, and dirt regularly to keep output up.
