The Renogy 12 Volt 200Ah Deep Cycle AGM Battery is a sealed lead-acid battery that gives RVs, boats, cabins, and solar backup systems a large, low-maintenance energy reserve. Because the electrolyte is held in fiberglass mats rather than sloshing freely, the battery does not spill, never needs watering, and can be mounted upright or on its side when space requires it.

An improved electrolyte formula lets the battery keep discharging in temperatures as low as -4°F (-20°C) without extra temperature compensation, which is helpful for winter camping and unheated storage. It can also deliver very high current in short bursts, enough to start most appliances.

Multiple batteries can be linked in series with no set limit, or up to four in parallel, as long as they share the same type, voltage, capacity, and ideally brand. For a longer service life, avoid discharging below 50% and use the SLD battery setting on your charge controller.

What is an agm battery?
Agm (absorbent glass mat) batteries are a type of sealed lead-acid battery. the electrolyte is absorbed into a fiberglass mat separator instead of being free-flowing, which makes the battery maintenance-free, spill-proof, and suitable for many off-grid and rv applications.
Can i discharge the battery to 0% and then recharge it again?
To avoid shortening cycle life, it is not recommended to discharge the battery below 50% state of charge. when not in use, fully charge the battery before storage and recharge it at least every three months.
What is the best way to place and store this battery?
This sealed agm battery should be placed upright during normal use. it may be installed on its side only when necessary, but should never be placed upside down. store it in a dry, cool place (-4°f to 140°f / -20°c to 60°c), make sure it is fully charged before storage, and recharge it every three months.
Can this battery be used at freezing temperatures?
Yes, but within its rated temperature ranges. discharge temperature range is -4°f to 140°f (-20°c to 60°c), and charge temperature range is 32°f to 122°f (0°c to 50°c). using the battery outside these ranges can reduce its lifespan. always check expected temperatures before use.
Do the batteries come with terminal bolts? what size are they?
Yes. each renogy 12v 200ah deep cycle agm battery includes two m8 x 1.25 x 20 mm terminal bolts.
Can i connect batteries in series and in parallel?
Yes. you can connect this battery in series and in parallel. up to 4 batteries can be connected in parallel, and there is no limit on the number of batteries in series, as long as the system is properly designed and protected.
Can i connect a 100ah battery to a 200ah battery?
No. all batteries in the same bank should have the same capacity (ah), voltage (v), and battery type (agm), and ideally be from the same brand. mixing different capacities or types can cause imbalance and reduce performance.
When using a charge controller, which battery type should i select?
On your charge controller, select the sld (sealed lead-acid) or sealed agm battery setting.
Is this battery compatible with renogy one?
No. this agm battery is not currently compatible with renogy one. to monitor battery status, you can use a 500a battery monitor with shunt (sold separately).
Can this battery be used in series to build a 24-volt system?
Yes. you can connect two 12v 200ah agm batteries in series to create a 24v bank. up to 4 batteries can be paralleled, and series connections have no fixed limit as long as the system is correctly engineered.
