The Renogy 12V 20A/40A DC to DC Battery Charger is a second-generation DCC unit that tops up a house or auxiliary battery from your vehicle's alternator while you drive. It works with both conventional and smart (variable-voltage) alternators, and its alternator running detection makes sure it only draws power when the engine is actually charging, protecting the starter battery from being drained.

Charging efficiency reaches 94%, and the multi-stage charging logic adapts output to the battery for a safer, more complete charge. A supplied battery temperature sensor feeds real-time data for precise adjustments, and the charger automatically scales back output when temperatures run high. Lithium battery activation can be toggled on or off to suit your setup.

The compact, corrosion-resistant housing cools passively for quiet operation, which makes it a good match for vans, trucks, and boat cabins. Add a Renogy BT-2 Bluetooth module to monitor the charger remotely and review up to 365 days of recorded data in the app.
