The Renogy 160A 2P DC Molded Case Circuit Breaker is a heavy-duty safety switch for solar and battery systems that carry high DC current, such as the line between a battery bank and an inverter. It watches the circuit for overloads and short circuits and cuts power on its own the moment something goes wrong, protecting your wiring and equipment from overheating and fire.

Protection comes from two trip mechanisms working together: a thermal element that reacts to sustained overcurrent and a magnetic element that trips almost instantly on a short circuit. Because the breaker is reversible, current can flow through it in either direction, and after a trip it only needs to be reset, not replaced. It can also be switched off under full rated load when you need to isolate part of the system for maintenance, and an indicator window on the handle shows at a glance whether the contacts are open or closed.

The breaker mounts on a standard DIN rail or directly to a vertical surface, and it fits naturally inside combiner boxes, breaker boxes, and complete home or cabin solar kits.
