The Renogy 2000W 12V Pure Sine Wave Inverter Charger combines two jobs in one unit: it turns 12V battery power into clean household AC, and when it is plugged into shore power or a generator it recharges and maintains your battery bank. That makes it a good fit for RVs, vans, boats, and backup systems where you want both AC power on the go and a built-in way to top up the batteries.

It supplies 2000W of continuous power with surges up to 6000W, enough to start demanding loads like a 1kW air conditioner, motors, refrigerators, and washing machines. The pure sine wave output protects sensitive electronics and keeps appliances running quieter. When AC input is available, the built-in 16A automatic transfer switch changes over in about 10 milliseconds, and the charger delivers an adjustable 5–65A through a multi-stage charging process to bring batteries back to full.

An LCD display shows system status along with input and output power, and a wired remote on a 16.4 ft cable lets you control the unit from a more convenient spot. The terminals are laid out neatly for easier wiring, and the charger supports GEL, AGM, SLA, flooded, calcium, lithium, and user-defined battery profiles.

What's in the Box

  • 1 x 2000W 12V Pure Sine Wave Inverter Charger
  • 1 x Battery Temperature Sensor
  • 1 x Inverter Wired Remote Control

Installation Notes

  • Leave about 1.97 in of clearance above the inverter and at least 4 in on the side with the busbars
  • Do not over-tighten the terminals, as this can damage the unit
  • Double-check positive and negative connections; reversing polarity can cause permanent damage
  • Switch on the inverter before turning on connected loads, and turn loads off before shutting the inverter down

How is an inverter charger different from a regular inverter?
A regular inverter only converts dc battery power to ac. an inverter charger does that too, but it can also charge and maintain your battery bank whenever it's connected to shore power or a generator.
Can this unit be used on a 24v system?
No. this model is designed for 12v battery systems only.
What does the battery temperature sensor do?
It adjusts the charging voltage to account for battery temperature, helping the charger read battery voltage more accurately and charge more consistently for longer battery life.
Is there a bluetooth module for this inverter charger?
No. renogy does not offer a compatible bluetooth module for this model; system status is shown on the built-in lcd display.
Why choose pure sine wave over modified sine wave?
Pure sine wave output closely matches utility power with very low harmonic distortion, so motors and microwaves run cooler and quieter, and electronics like computers, tvs, and audio equipment avoid glitches and noise.
How much clearance does it need?
Leave about 1.97 in of space above the unit and at least 4 in on the side with the busbars.
