The Renogy 200W ShadowFlux Anti-Shading N-Type Solar Panel is a rigid panel engineered to keep producing power when trees, roof vents, or passing clouds cast shade across part of its surface. It is a strong option for RV roofs, vans, cabins, boats, and backup systems where perfect, shade-free placement is not always possible.

Renogy's ShadowFlux technology works at the cell level, routing current around shaded sections so that a small patch of shade does not drag down the output of the entire panel. This approach also helps prevent hotspots, which protects the module and supports a longer working life. The N-type cells with 16-busbar construction handle heat and low light better than conventional cells and reach up to 25% cell efficiency, packing a lot of wattage into a compact footprint.

The panel carries an IP67 rating against dust and water and is built to withstand snow loads, strong winds, and vibration. Its output voltage is well suited to 12V and 24V battery systems and works with standard MPPT charge controllers.

How do i choose a controller suitable for my shadowflux anti-shading solar panel?
The shadowflux panel has an open-circuit voltage (voc) of 36.5v. for single or parallel panel connections, the charge controller should support a maximum pv input voltage of at least 50v. for series connections, the controller’s maximum pv input voltage must be at least 50v multiplied by the number of panels in series. selecting a controller with the proper pv voltage rating ensures optimal performance.
What can shadowflux anti-shading technology do for me?
Shadowflux anti-shading technology maintains high power output even when part of the panel is shaded. it reduces shading impact, enhances total energy production, and protects the solar module from shading-related stress and potential damage.
What do i need to complete my off-grid solar power system?
A complete off-grid system requires: a solar panel to generate energy, a charge controller to regulate charging, and a deep-cycle battery for energy storage. you will also need adapter kit cables to connect the solar panel to the controller and tray cables to connect the controller to the battery.
What does off-grid and on-grid mean?
On-grid systems are connected to the utility grid and can draw power from it. off-grid systems operate independently, storing energy in batteries for later use. off-grid systems continue to function during power outages, making them ideal for remote or blackout-prone locations.
Why is my solar panel underproducing power?
Underproduction is commonly caused by indirect sunlight, high temperatures, cloudy conditions, or dust and debris on the panel surface. regular cleaning and proper placement help maintain optimal performance.
How should i connect solar panels in my electrical circuit—series or parallel?
In series, panel voltages are added while current stays the same. in parallel, currents are added while voltage stays the same. use series, parallel, or a combination depending on the system’s voltage and current requirements.
How many solar panels do i need?
Determine your required wattage and daily energy usage in watt-hours (wh). size your battery bank first, then calculate how much solar input is needed using a safety factor of 1.5–2. the number of panels depends on your total energy demand and system size.
What does 12v/24v in the product title mean?
The 12v/24v label refers to the type of solar system the panel is designed to work with—not the panel’s actual voc or vmp. the panel’s operating voltage must always be higher than the system voltage for proper battery charging.
