The Renogy 400W 12V Complete Solar Panel Kit with 3.6kWh Battery is a full off-grid power setup well suited to workshops, sheds, and DIY projects. It brings together solar generation, charge control, 3.6kWh of battery storage, and AC output, so a workshop or shed can run on its own solar power independently of the grid.

Four 100W 16BB N-Type panels with up to 25% cell efficiency feed a Rover 40A MPPT charge controller, whose four-stage charging algorithm helps batteries last longer. Storage comes from three 12V 100Ah batteries, available either as Pro Series deep cycle lithium (LiFePO4) batteries or as deep cycle AGM batteries. A 3000W pure sine wave inverter then converts that stored energy into household AC power.

The kit also includes mounting brackets, branch connectors, fusing, interconnect and inverter cables, and a 500A battery monitor with shunt, giving you the pieces needed to wire a complete system and keep an eye on battery status.

What does an off-grid solar system need?
A solar panel must be connected to a charge controller, which regulates current, and to a battery that stores the energy. adapter cables link the panels to the controller, and tray cables connect the controller to a deep-cycle battery. an inverter is also needed to run ac appliances. this kit includes all of these core components.
What does off-grid and on-grid mean?
An on-grid system is connected to the utility grid, while an off-grid system is independent and stores the power it generates in batteries for later use, so it is not affected by grid blackouts.
Why might my solar panels produce less than expected?
Output depends on conditions. indirect sunlight, high temperatures, cloud cover, and dirt or dust on the panel surface can all reduce the power a panel produces.

Yes, panels can be added in series or parallel within the controller's limits: 40a maximum charge current, 100vdc maximum pv input voltage, and 520w of solar at 12v or 1040w at 24v.
