The Renogy 600W 12V Essential Solar Panel Kit pairs three 200W 16BB N-Type solar panels with your choice of charging hardware, creating a ready-to-install foundation for a larger RV, van, or off-grid 12V system. The panels use a sturdy aluminum alloy frame built to handle years of outdoor exposure.

Two charging setups are offered. The first uses a Rover 60A MPPT solar charge controller with an LCD screen and a BT-1 Bluetooth module, supporting 12V through 48V battery banks. The second swaps in a 50A DC-DC on-board battery charger with MPPT, which charges your house battery from both the solar array and the vehicle alternator in one unit, making it a tidy choice for vehicles. Both versions ship with the solar adaptor kit, tray cables, and Z-bracket mounts needed to get the array on the roof and connected.

Batteries and an inverter are sold separately, so you can size storage and AC output to match your own energy needs.

What else do i need to complete an off-grid system?
A solar panel must be connected to a charge controller, which regulates current, and to a battery that stores the energy. adapter cables link the panels to the controller, and tray cables connect the controller to a deep-cycle battery. this kit does not include batteries.
What does off-grid and on-grid mean?
An on-grid system is connected to the utility grid, while an off-grid system is independent and stores the power it generates in batteries for later use, so it is not affected by grid blackouts.
What is the difference between the two kit options?
The first option uses a rover 60a mppt solar charge controller for solar-only charging of 12v–48v battery banks. the second uses a 50a dc-dc on-board battery charger with mppt, which charges a 12v battery from both solar and the vehicle alternator.
Will this kit run an air conditioner?
It depends on the load. find the ac unit's power rating in watts, multiply by the hours you plan to run it to get watt-hours, divide by the peak sun hours at your location, and multiply by a safety factor of 1.5–2 to estimate how much solar you need.
Do i need an inverter?
Yes, if you want to run standard household appliances such as a coffee maker or tv. an inverter converts the 12v dc system output into 120v ac.
