The Renogy Battery Shunt 300 is a compact monitoring device that tells you exactly what is happening inside your battery bank, from state of charge and current flow to battery temperature. It pairs with the Renogy ONE Core or the DC Home app over Bluetooth, so you can check charge levels from your phone instead of guessing how much energy is left.

Beyond live readings, the shunt logs historical data so you can spot trends and make better decisions about how your system is sized and used. It handles up to 300A continuous and 500A peak current with ±1% accuracy, accepts supply voltages from 8V to 120V DC, and supports battery banks from 1Ah up to 6,500Ah. It works with lead-acid (AGM and GEL), lithium iron phosphate, lithium-ion, and nickel-metal hydride chemistries, and an included temperature sensor adds another layer of insight.

Installation takes only a few minutes: the shunt can sit on top of the battery or be screwed to a wall, and its connection points have protective covers. It is offered on its own or bundled with a Renogy ONE Core.

Why does current show as negative while charging and positive while discharging?
This usually means the b- or p terminal connections are reversed. inspect those contacts and correct the wiring.
Why is the temperature reading incorrect?
Make sure the battery temperature sensor is installed properly.
Why is the state of charge (soc) reading off?
Battery capacity decreases over time with use. re-set the rated battery ah value to the capacity the battery actually holds when fully charged.
Why are readings less precise at high current?
High ambient temperatures can affect sampling accuracy. give the shunt good ventilation, and remove the upper cover if needed.
Does it need different settings for lithium versus lead-acid batteries?
No. the shunt calculates from measured current and voltage. you can manually calibrate by setting soc to 100% in the settings after a full charge.
What can i do if it connects to my phone but not to the renogy one core?
Check the renogy one core firmware, reset the shunt by holding its reset button for 5 seconds, then use add device on the renogy one core to scan for and connect to it.
