The Renogy Pro S1 12V 120Ah / 240Ah LiFePO4 Battery is a rugged lithium battery built around semi-solid state cells, aimed at RVs, sailboats, and off-grid setups that face vibration, moisture, and temperature swings. The semi-solid cells use far less liquid electrolyte than standard lithium cells, which slows heat buildup and makes the battery more thermally stable under heavy use.

The 240Ah model can sustain 240A of discharge, enough to run a roughly 2,880W inverter from a single battery, while the 120Ah model supports 150A continuous. Both are rated for 6,000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge, have a self-heating function to recover from low-temperature cut-off faster, and are sealed to IP67 so they can survive temporary submersion. The housing uses UL94 V-0 flame-retardant material and has passed salt-spray testing for marine environments.

Built-in Bluetooth connects to the Renogy app for real-time monitoring and over-the-air updates without buying a separate module, and CAN ports are included for communicating with other devices. A layered BMS responds to overcurrent in stages, allowing short surges from motors and inverters while cutting off quickly in the event of a dead short. Mounting brackets come in the box to hold the battery firmly in place.

Is this a fully solid-state battery?
No. it uses semi-solid state cells, which cut liquid electrolyte by roughly 70% compared with conventional lithium-ion cells. renogy notes that no 100% solid-state batteries are currently on the market.
How much power can one battery deliver?
The 120ah model discharges at 150a continuously, about 1,920w. the 240ah model discharges at 240a continuously, delivering over 3,000w and able to support a 2,880w inverter.
Do i need a separate bluetooth module?
No. bluetooth is built in, so you can monitor the battery in real time in the renogy app. can ports are also included for device communication.
How can i recharge the pro s1?
Use solar, a dc-dc charger, or an ac-dc charger. renogy recommends a controller or charger designed for lifepo4 batteries.
How long will the battery last?
About 6,000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge, depending on temperature and storage conditions.
Is the battery waterproof?
Yes. it is ip67-rated and can be submerged up to 1 meter (39.37 in) deep for up to 30 minutes.
Why does the bms use staged overcurrent protection?
Staged limits let the battery ride through sustained overloads and short surges, such as inverter or motor start-up, without nuisance shutdowns, while still cutting off within milliseconds if there is a dead short.
