The Renogy Rover Li 20/30/40 Amp MPPT Solar Charge Controller sits between your solar panels and battery bank, regulating charging so batteries fill efficiently and safely. It automatically recognizes 12V and 24V systems when used with non-lithium batteries and accepts solar input voltages from 15V up to 100V, which gives you flexibility when wiring panels in series.

Maximum power point tracking with up to 99% tracking efficiency and 98% peak conversion efficiency helps pull as much usable energy from the array as possible. A four-stage charging routine protects battery health, and the controller is also able to charge over-discharged lithium batteries. Built-in protections guard against overcharging, over-discharging, overloads, and short circuits.

The controller also offers several load control modes, and remote monitoring is available when a Renogy Bluetooth module is added. It is offered as a 20A controller on its own or as a 40A controller bundled with a BT-2 Bluetooth module and a Renogy ONE Core monitoring hub.

What's in the Box

  • 1 x Rover Li MPPT Solar Charge Controller
  • 1 x Remote Temperature Sensor
  • 4 x Mounting Brackets
  • 40A bundle also includes: 1 x BT-2 Bluetooth Module and 1 x Renogy ONE Core

What is the maximum solar input for the rover li 40a?
Up to 520w on a 12v system and up to 1040w on a 24v system. the 20a model handles 260w/520w and the 30a model 390w/780w.
Does the controller have a built-in fuse?
No. always install a fuse between the charge controller and the batteries, sized to match the controller's amperage rating. for a 40a controller, renogy recommends a 40a anl fuse.
What does the 40a rating mean?
It is the maximum current the controller can output into the batteries.
What are the advantages of renogy's mppt technology?
Rover series controllers use renogy's power catcher mppt algorithm, which locks onto the panels' optimal maximum power point to convert as much energy as possible.
What panel voltages can i use?
The controller works with standard 12v/24v off-grid panels, high-voltage panels, or multiple panels wired in series, as long as input voltage stays within 100v.
