The Renogy Rover Lite 60A MPPT Solar Charge Controller manages solar charging for 12V, 24V, 36V, and 48V battery systems, recognizing the system voltage on its own. With a 150V maximum solar input, it gives DIY builders more room to wire panels in series, making it a flexible choice for RVs, cabins, sheds, and home off-grid projects.

MPPT tracking above 99% and conversion efficiency above 97% help pull more usable energy from your array. Heat management is built into the design: internal potting moves heat out to the metal heat sink, so the controller can keep working at full load in hot conditions, and low-temperature protection covers cold-weather use. Its standby draw is also very low, about 0.18W on a 12V system.

A built-in LCD and simple controls let you check status and set battery presets for AGM, gel, flooded, or LiFePO4 batteries, or define custom parameters. Adding the optional Bluetooth module lets you monitor the system from your phone and keep up to two years of historical data.

How can i wire solar panels to this controller?
Panels can be wired in series, parallel, or a series-parallel combination. renogy notes that up to six 100w panels can go in series or eleven in parallel, as long as you stay within the 150v input limit and the maximum input power for your system voltage.
What can i connect to the load terminals?
The load terminals are for 12v dc devices drawing no more than 20a. to run ac appliances, connect an inverter directly to the battery rather than to the load terminals.
Will it charge a 12v battery from a higher-voltage panel?
Yes. the mppt controller steps down the excess panel voltage and converts it into additional charging current for the battery.
Which battery types are supported?
Agm, gel, flooded, and lifepo4 presets are built in, and a user-custom mode is available for other parameters.
How much solar power can it handle?
Up to 900w at 12v, 1800w at 24v, 2000w at 36v, and 3200w at 48v.
Can i monitor it from my phone?
Yes, with the optional bluetooth module, which also allows up to two years of data to be stored.
